Nowadays we all live in a world of rush and hurry, with the
risk of flattening almost everything, losing along the way values,
crafts and traditions of great importance.
Our kids eat chicken but they may not even know what a chicken
looks like, they eat fruits and vegetables without even knowing
where those come from, they eat honey, different kinds of it
and yet they have never seen a bee, or a beehive end even less
the inside of a beehive.
For all of the above reasons we have felt a strong urge of realizing
an educational farm, named “Ligustica”
after the name of the Italian type of bee, the most widespread
and the most beloved in the world. |
|
| We have realized and made available a number of facilities,
green schoolroom and labs, to accommodate students of all levels
and have them get acquainted with all the steps involved in
the process, starting from the work of the bee on flowers to
the production of honey and to the packing of our products.
Not yet satisfied we have also created a path of officinal herbs,
made of about ninety varieties of spices and essences, and an
orchard where is possible to enjoy flowers and plants all year
round. |
